Olympics

The Tuis have been learning a lot about the Olympics.  Today we watched footage of Usain Bolt winning the 100m again!  He ran it in 9.7 seconds.

The children wanted to see how far and how fast he needed to run so we went out onto the field to the 100m track.  They ran down the track until the timer said 9.7 and Mrs Stowers blew the whistle for them to stop.

They decided that they made it half way.

Have a look how far they got (the end was at the last tree down the back fence) and their 'dab' of salute to Usain Bolt!
